VR Voom’s Covid-19 Preparedness 

Like many of you, we are paying close attention to the fast-evolving COVID-19 situation in New Zealand and how it’s affecting us all. VR Voom management are meeting daily to take stock of any new information and to agree to any new actions required. We have implemented a range of actions to protect our staff, clients and the wider community, and we will continue to introduce new measures as and when required.

Our Newmarket Virtual Reality Centre remains open for business. We are however implementing some additional changes to our normal business operations during these challenging times.

Primarily, we have increased the frequency and degree of detail around cleanliness of the facilities and machinery.  All equipment and surfaces that could come into contact with customers or staff are cleaned on a daily basis.  All equipment that customers interact with during a visit to the centre is cleaned both prior to being used and immediately after use, by each customer.

We also are closing the doors for public use during each session so customers who come in to use the facilities are basically treated as private party guests, having the cleaned facilities to themselves for the duration of their stay.  Once they have finished, the equipment is cleaned again, and the next customer(s) allowed in. 

We recognise that we are all in this together, and we are committed to playing our part in helping our country navigate through this crisis with minimised impact to our communities.
